Happy Day-Gift!

Ah, another day to wrap up, like a beautiful birthday gift!!!

Pink Otter Party wishes this evening is good-a time as any to reflect on your phenomenal delights.

Perhaps your day-gift include wonderful meal with people whom you do not hate. Perchance you were able to drive or stagger to the most pleasant destination. Or, then again, possibly you observate or participate certain thing, such as:

--picturesquely-flying crow gang in twilight sky
--rescue of moth from the heinous cat
--watching your loved one to sit in the damp seat, while yours remaining dry

Many things to bring the smiles.  :-)

Howevers, none may surpass my joy at morning time, when my body, groggy and oaf-like, sit down to prepare for the ingestion of supremely awaited cereals and...(drumrolls, please)...BANANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O, be still my heart!!!

Upon further reflection, what if some of your day-gift not bringing the happiness you desire?

As they say, there is always the other hand, the greener grass, and the cloud to ruin the silverware.

Perhaps you hopped for better day-gift.

Perhaps you receive this day-gift thinking, hey, why me to get this crappy little thing called crap?

O, the horror!
O, the humanity!

But, in the immoral words of Mr. David Soul (or Hutch, as he also known by)...DON'T GIVE UP ON US, BABY!!! Don't make the wrong seems right, the future not just dis one night, blahblahblah, etcetera, et al...coughcough, ahem, la-la...don't give up on us I know--WE CAN STILL COME TOO!!!

Of course you can come to Pink Otter Party and meet Mr. David Soul!!!

But, first thing first: now is your chance to become philosopher and annoy all those around you. Ask yourselfs the one question we alls must ask:

"Is my bum look big in dis?"

Holymoly, Batman!

Ka-POW!!!

  1. Another wonderful post...you are being awfully sunshiney at the five o' clock morning hour.

I went onto a new blog today through a friend's link and it made me realize how personally invested i am in those blogs i choose to read, follow and comment on. It's an added bonus when i know the blogger. The anonymity of the social network may reach for fame and objective numbers in lets say blog followers by google, twitter and facebook. I am more turned on and tuned into the person behind the personality, and ultimately into the relationship connection. How'z that for annoying pedantics and standing on philosophical a soap box?

I love how your view of daily life is so different from my own. It reminds me of how viewpoint/vision is interpretive whether we look at a piece of art, film, or the situation in one's work place.

  2. Thank you for your exceeding well-spoken comment! I agrees with you!
    Yes--different view--like Rashomon or Seinfeld!

  3. Your play with language made me think of Gertrude Stein's influence on post-modern literature the other day. I know, the coexistence of Pink Otter and Gertrude Stein in the same sentence is mind puzzling....

We are so blessed to have inherited so much culture(s) and access to the new world.

Your sense of the absurd and sweet are not to be underestimated in these times. Keep writing and having fun.

Flattery will grow more comments and encouragement from me dear fellow traveler.
